Affordability is still the biggest challenge. Higher mortgage rates have slowed demand, buyers are more cautious, and homes are taking longer to sell.
But here is the important part: serious buyers are still buying. Over 2,200 San Diegans bought homes last month.
That means this is not a dead market. It is a more strategic market.
A bright point for sellers is that San Diego home values are still near historic highs in many areas.
If you have owned your home for several years, you may still have strong equity. Serious buyers are still out looking, but they are more selective.
The homes getting the best results today are properly priced, well presented, professionally marketed, and either move-in ready or strategically refreshed.
